Action Contre la Faim (ACF)
Action Contre la Faim is a non-governmental organisation. It intervenes in 40 countries and implements nutrition and health, food security, water sanitation and hygiene, and advocacy programmes. On the international level, Action Contre la Faim is also present in Paris, London, Madrid, New York and Montreal.

We are looking for: A PROGRAM COORDINATOR (M/F)
Country: INDONESIA ? Soe, NTT (Nusa Tenggara Timur)

General objective:

- To co-ordinate and supervise the program in NTT province

Responsibilities:

- Deepen the understanding of the local context
- Define in collaboration with the rest of the coordination team, senior national staff and the head of mission, and within the framework of the country strategy, the Action contre la Faim strategy of intervention in NTT province
- Accordingly, develop proposals (narratives and budget) in collaboration with technical advisors in Head quarter, Program managers, Head of Mission and external experts
- Ensure that the program implementation complies with the proposals in terms of activities, costs and time line
- Ensure that adequate means are delivered to technical departments
- Ensure the integration of each component with the others, striving at optimizing the synergy and thus the impact at community level
- Make sure coordination meetings are held weekly by Logistician /Administrator / Head of Base
- Stress the Charter Principles towards the expats/national staff
- Creation of a good and fair work environment where mutual understanding prevails
- Capacity building of senior national staff
- Training of the staff on Action contre la Faim / humanitarian matters
- Make sure that security is properly managed on the base and on the field, actively participate in security plan update
- Ensure good opening of the base and program activities in Alor district
- Representation to the local authorities
- Representation to donors, follow-up of the funding, proposals, reports, amendment, no-cost, etc.;
- Supervise reports to local authorities
- Coordination meetings with other agencies
- Stress the Charter principles to the other actors

Qualification and previous experience:

- Proven experience in directly managing program (Food security preferred)
- Educational background in development
- Writing skills: Proposal, donors reporting?
- Experience in dealing with local implementing partners
- Team management.
- Outstanding socio-cultural analysis (previous experience in Indonesia and SEA preferred)
- Humanitarian experiences mandatory
- English mandatory

- Working with all the different partners requires being good at public relations, as well as mind-openness and diplomacy
- Ability to capitalise experience and available information in order to become quickly autonomous
- Ability to take initiative where appropriate to deal with difficulties encountered in daily work

Adaptability and flexibility:
- Ability to adapt or change priorities according to the changing situation within a mission or the organisation itself
- Ability to work within a fluid situation (changes within the team, location of programmes)
- Willingness to live and work within a team and respect the rules of collective living

Motivation and involvement:
- Motivation and commitment to humanitarian ideals
- Interest in involvement beyond the job i.e. active involvement in the ethos of the organisation itself
- Ability to integrate into the local environment including awareness of political and economic aspects of the country

Professionalism and Management:
- Ability to conduct work in a professional and mature manner
- Ability to deal with relation with local authorities as a representative of Action contre la Faim
- Ability to manage local staff in a mature and impartial manner

Length of contract: 1 year

Status:

Employee:
- Fixed-term contract
- All expenses paid in the field: travel out/return, collective or individual accommodation depending on position and family, meals and hygiene expenses
- Ability to take in charge accompanied position depending on position
- Monthly salary ranging from €1550 to €1950 gross depending on the position and experiences + Allowance of €200 net paid on the mission
- Social security, complementary health, repatriation insurance and contribution to a pension
- Purchase of 2.8 days off per month
- 2 RTT per year
- Training of 2 to 3 weeks, achieved in Paris before leaving on mission
