Organizational Context Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is a United Nation agency which provides technical assistance in Indonesia. One of our projects since 2006 provides support for the control of Avian Influenza, in cooperation with national and regional Indonesian government livestock authorities. Project activities are conducted in various locations nationwide; including South Sulawesi. Under the overall supervision of the FAO Representative, Operations Unit and direct supervision of Operations Officer and Resident Veterinary Advisor, the Driver will be based in South Sulawesi and perform a range of? duties within the FAO/ GOI Avian Influenza Control Programme.
II. Functions / Key Results Expected Summary of key functions: Provide safe operational transportation services- movement of people and project supplies- to support the FAO/ GOI Avian Influenza Control Programme Performs the assigned daily transportation needs in coordination with Resident Veterinary Advisor Maintain the log book for the vehicle on a daily basis Monitor the status of the vehicle and report mechanical problems as soon as they have been noticed Ensure that the vehicle follows a strict routine maintenance schedule Ensure that the vehicle is kept clean Ensure that the vehicle is parked only in a safe area Available for working outside of Jakarta and working flexible hours to support the Programme While not operating the vehicles, the driver shall help the project personnel at their requests, with other errands such as delivering mails, photocopying, etc. Perform other duties as required III. Impact of Results The key results have an impact on the success of FAO/ GOI Avian Influenza Control Programme implementation in Indonesia.

Recruitment Qualifications Education: High School Graduate Experience: At least two years experience of professional driving for a company, agency or independent person Possess a valid Indonesian driver? s license Mechanical skills to carryout basic services for the vehicle Ability to work with minimum supervision Language Requirements Good knowledge of the English language and speak Bahasa fluently Operations Support Unit Office of the FAO Representative in Indonesia 11th Floor Menara Thamrin Building Jl.
