About AusAID
AusAID advises the Government on international development policy and manages Australia’s overseas aid program. AusAID’s work contributes to a global commitment to achieve eight ‘Millennium Development Goals’ to:

Significant assistance is provided to countries and regions in South Asia, North Asia, Middle East, and Sub-Saharan Africa. AusAID also responds on behalf of the Australian Government to emergencies and disasters that occur in developing countries.
About the Indonesia development assistance program:
The development assistance program to Indonesia is Australia’s largest and the Australian and Indonesian Governments are committed to working together to alleviate poverty and promote regional peace, stability and prosperity. The program is branded as the Australia Indonesia Partnership, reflecting that Australia’s development assistance is delivered in line with Indonesia’s priorities and that Australia works in partnership with Indonesia at the national, provincial and district levels to improve service delivery and systems. The program is delivered in Jakarta (and several Indonesian field offices), with policy, coordination and performance managed from Canberra.
About the Corporate and Program Enabling Section:
CPE Unit is a team of 20 staff providing corporate support to the 136 staff located within the Kebon Sirih and Embassy locations in Jakarta Post.
The unit also supports AusAID’s offices located in-line throughout Indonesia including offices in Kupang, Banda Aceh, Makassar and Jakarta locations. Working closely with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Corporate Support unit in Jakarta the corporate enabling unit are also responsible for ensuring the services specified in the Service level agreement are delivered.
Job Description
Working within the Corporate and Program Enabling team in Jakarta and working to the Counsellor Corporate. The Office Manager, IT, Information Management and Transport Services will have responsibility for key aspects of our service delivery in support of the Australian Government aid program in Jakarta, within the Corporate and Program Enabling Team. Critical tasks of the positions will cover:
- Management and leadership of IT, Information Management and Transport work teams.
- Day to day administration of the Office and team environments
- Liaison with AusAID Canberra and Jakarta Embassy IT, ICT Administration staff, as needed, to effectively support program delivery.
- Prepare and update guidelines, policies and correspondence to support effective program delivery across the areas of office management services including procurement and asset management services.
Eligibility/Other Requirements
- Previous equivalent work experience with international agencies (including NGOs) or medium to large organisations.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in written and spoken Bahasa Indonesia.
- Minimum of five years experience in relevant field of IT and Information Management and a high level of technical skills in these areas.
- Demonstrated high level negotiation and interpersonal skills, including: a high standard of integrity, capacity to provide advice and maintain high levels of confidentiality in managing team operations on sensitive matters, and capacity to work with minimal supervision.
Also critical to the positions is the need for frequent and close liaison with Canberra and Jakarta Embassy counterparts, to identify and resolve operational and support issues to effectively support program user needs across the AusAID Jakarta Offices.
Selection Criteria

Statements should detail suitability to perform the duties of the position including personal qualities, experience, skills and knowledge relative to the selection criteria.
1. Highly effective leadership and management skills and demonstrated capacity to work in a team environment
2. Excellent Office management and IT skills, including resourcefulness, sensitivity, tolerance and tact and a commitment to client service and a proven capacity to work effectively with people at all levels.
3. Highly developed communication skills particularly in written and spoken English, and well developed negotiation, liaison and representation skills.
4. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
