About the role
Indonesia has experienced years of turbulence. To build more stability for the future ? and address the country?s ongoing issues ? it?s essential that the right policy interventions are put in place. Your focus will be on researching and developing a far-reaching advocacy strategy that seeks to maximise our emergency relief programme within Indonesia and support disaster resolution and conflict management. In more detail, you?ll take a lead in developing campaigns and advocacy activities, coach partners on effective policy development and assist with planning and advice. Not to mention contributing to Oxfam?s internal communications and playing a key role in programme level budgeting and decision making.
What we?re looking for
We?ll be looking for a degree level education and considerable research experience, particularly in terms of policy development, communication or lobbying. You?ll also bring a good understanding of global and national development issues. You should be analytical in your approach with good computer literacy, but it?s just as important that you can communicate effectively and persuade others as part of a multicultural team. Fluency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English is important and you?ll be happy to work flexibly and undertake frequent travel.
