This position is located in the II Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) G-4, Maintenance Management Section, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that II MEF units are provided information relative to maintenance management as prescribed by policies and procedures.
Term appointments may be extended up to 4 years without further announcement. Term employees are eligible for within grade increases, paid holidays, health insurance, life insurance and annual and sick leave
KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Duties

The incumbent serves as Deputy Maintenance Management Officer and assists in providing maintenance policy and guidance to supporting activities throughout II MEF. Provides direct oversight for issues related to maintenance management and readiness. Coordinates with higher, adjacent and supporting commands on all matters regarding operational and tactical level supply and maintenance. Coordinates and executes maintenance and supply analysis for the stand up of II MEF Marine Expeditionary Units, and pre-deployment analysis assistance. Serves as team member on the Commanding General’s Readiness Inspection Program during maintenance management assist visits to II MEF units. Plans, coordinates and schedules ongoing production oriented work on an annual or monthly basis; adjusts staffing levels or work procedures within the Material Management section; and continually improves work methods used to produce work products.

Qualifications and Evaluations
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience in the same or similar work at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service that has equipped you with the necessary knowledge, skills or abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Creditable specialized experience includes experience such as: directing the development and implementation of policy/ program guidance for maintenance management programs and projects; conducting analysis on maintenance programs; coordinating implementation of requirements for maintenance management issues (supply and readiness); providing operational and tactical level supply and maintenance support; preparing short and long-range plans to meet logistics requirements; monitoring maintenance related functions using automated database reports or onsite visits.
Special Requirements
Selectee may be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
Position may require occasional travel (5%, CONUS & OCONUS).
Overtime is required.
